A. No. The stories are researched and written by a respected journalist. You just tell us the topic, give us a few pointers, and we take it from there. We also give you some current and relevant stories that you may like to include. The same applies for our Custom Newsletter.
Not always. Some of our pharmacists, particularly those from fairly close communities, like to include some personal anecdotes about customers, team members or activities that are happening in the area. Perhaps even a charity they are supporting.
Once you have decided what it is you’d like to see on the front & back pages, it really is just a case of telling us. This can take as little as 5 or10 minutes of your time each quarter. The only other time required is the reading of the proofs before going to print. Because we know how busy you are, we often deal with a senior member of the team.
Absolutely. It’s important to let people know what’s going on in your pharmacy & what services you provide.
Yes, you have two chances to do this. Once the stories have been written it’s given to you to check & make changes. This happens again when the graphic design has been completed.
In most situations, we visit your pharmacy & take the photos for you. However there are some areas we can’t cover & it is up to the pharmacy staff to take the pictures. This is done with plenty of guidance & ideas from us.
Our Premium & Custom newsletters have generic stories in the middle pages. Some of these reflect health tips appropriate for the season the edition comes out & the others are of interest to the community at large.
Yes. A lot of pharmacists like to run a competition with a prize for the lucky person who gets drawn at the end of the season.
We can arrange for the newsletters to be distributed to households around your area. If you decide to do it yourself, Australia Post has a reasonably priced service. There are some private contractors who can do the job.
Our newsletters are perfect for using on your web site. For no extra cost we provide you with a file you can easily download each season, saving you the hassle of having to come up with something on your own.
We also encourage pharmacists to send copies of the newsletter to their local paper each time it comes out. You would be surprised how many times the stories are picked up & used giving you a welcome bit of free publicity.

“We’ve been using the newsletters for 5 years now and they have brought us closer to our customers. People know the pharmacy team at a more personal level and that makes a big difference. I think they are really happy to feel that we are offering them a free service that gives them a lot of great tips about staying healthy.” |
